Perennial  plant  up to  1.5m heigh. It blossoms in June – July, ans is harvested in July – August.

Geography The Southeast of the European part of the former USSR, the plains of Central Asia, Iran, Western China, Northwest Mongolia. Grows on wet salinas and solonetzic  pratums, on the banks of brine lakes, on the outlines of hilly sands.
