Central Asia: Tien-Shan, Pamir-Alay mountain ranges. Grows on subalpine and valley meadows, in broadleaved woodlands, mountain river beds.

Chemical Content

Upperground parts contains coumarins, flavonoids, and essential oil. Major components of oil-octyl acetate (22%), hexyl acetate (17%), octyl butyrate (17%). Also contains anethol, a-pinene, limonene, octanal.

Traditional Use and Activity

Features of the oil: Antibiotic, diuretic. Possible usage: in urology. Indications: salts in kidney. Feed.
