Jungar-Tarbagatay areas. Inhabits and grows in steppes, dry rocky slopes, in shallow outcrops, limestone, and in front of midland belts

Chemical Content

Rubber, Phenolcarbonate acids and their derivatives: chlorogenic, non- chlorogenic, caffeic, ferulic acids. Flavonoids: quercetin, kaempferol, luteolin, apigenin, gispidulin, and their 7-glycosides. Roots: Rubber, Polyacetylenic compounds: diace-toxy-1,3- pentadekatrien5,7,13-diin-9,11. The aboveground part: Sesquiterpenoids: grosshemin. Rubber 0.9%. Alkaloids. Vitamins : C, carotin. Traditional Use and Activity

In the Balkan Peninsula, it is used for the treatment of diarrhea. Plant has an antibacterial effect. The fatty oil in seeds is used for food and technical purposes. The meliferous plant(Honey plant). The nectar- productivity –is 90-220 kg/hec. It is fodder for large cattle, sheep and camels. Also used as a decoration. The plant exhibits antibacterial activity. The decoction, infusion(tincture) of the herbs is used for the treatment of diarrhea.
